Dewey Monument Projection Bringing the Dewey Monument to Life

Project Description

In collaboration with Filipino/African American choreographer and artistic director of the Push Dance Company, Raissa Simpson, a rarely seen dance work, Bitter Melon, and a movement-based video projection utilizing two oversized 3D projectors will took place on the evenings of Friday May 25th, Saturday May 26th, Sunday May 27th and Monday May 28th, 2012 in Union Square, San Francisco. 2012 marks the 112th anniversary of the Filipino-American war.

This following video documentation of a public projection that took place on Memorial Day weekend (May 25-28) 2012 looking at the history of the monument.
